What to Wear Where: Our Picks for 4 Summer Activities

caftan

Although kids are going back to school and college will be in full force within the next months, there is still time to soak up the sun! Considering we are based in Southern California, we’ll be rocking warm weather styles until October at least. Whether you’ve gone on a million adventures or stayed home this summer, we’ve rounded up 4 activities you may have coming up this month, with wardrobe tips to ensure you close out the summer in style.

Beach

For activities where water is at the center, bathing suits are priority and actual clothes tend to be an afterthought. A romper or a caftan can easily be thrown on over your cute new bikini and keep you looking stylish if you decide to grab brunch before. Rock a cute one piece as a bodysuit with these shorts, add some statement earrings, comfy sandals, and a sun hat to complete this versatile outfit.

Cookout

A nice meal outdoors is often the cure to our stressful lives. Relax with your friends, mingle with new ones, and above all, eat your heart out! Pair each of these fun items with a trusty basic (denim is always a good idea), and style to match the level dress the event requires. For example, if I were going to make food with friends I would roll up the sleeves of this button down and tie it in front, pair with high waisted pants, then add some sleek slides! Boom, you’re the talk of the town.

Sports Game

There’s nothing better than gathering with a crowd of strangers and yelling about people throwing things at each other! Okay, so I’m clearly not a super sports fan, however I do love good snacks, cheering with my friends, and dressing for a new occasion. I recommend staying casual with an element of chic to keep things interesting! Dressing in pieces that fit you well and lend themselves to great accessories are always a plus. My top tip is to not wear anything too short so you don’t stick to the seat!

Music Festival

Although Coachella is months away, there are still plenty of summer concerts, and festivals to enjoy before August is over! Music events are often times when you can try out new styles and make an impression. Pair this mesh shirt with a black bodysuit and high waisted pants to jam out this summer. If you add killer boots and a bomber jacket you’ll be ready for look that can take you from day to night flawlessly!
